Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

LIHEAP assists low-income homeowners and renters with their energy costs. NEICAC provided services to3704 households in 1998, which included financial grants, budget counseling, and referral. In addition, 131households received aide for emergency furnace repair or replacement under the Energy Crisis Intervention Program component. NEICAC, and these donations assisted101 households also administer individual donations made to utilities to assist needy families locally in 1998.
